This article is one of the most accurate descriptions of the mining conditions in the Ambatondrazaka region of Madagascar. This deposit has produced some of the best Sapphires we have ever seen in terms of clarity & color.

Some of the typical colors from this deposit are Blue, Yellow, Green & Teal.

Didy has produced very remarkable Padparadscha & Rubies as well, but it's quite rare to see those colors from this mine.
